Hi everyone! Caroline here. Today I met Lynn, who (along with about eight other people!!) is paddling ‘half the mitt’. Starting at the pinky of Michigan (where Leland harbor is) they are taking a 30 year old boat, called the Gabagouache, one hundred and fifty miles around the lower peninsula! Lynn and her buddies are averaging about 50 miles a day. She said they usually stop at night and camp out, but tonight they had plans for a little night paddling. And guess what? They are not the only ones making this trek either! Through the organization, other paddlers are going across Michigan or even doing the ‘full mitt!’ !!! SAFE PADDLING!!
