FINE WINE TIMES

Tack & Jibe is holding up against Michigan’s 50 degree weather with multiple layers and Leland’s 26th Annual Wine and Food Festival next door in the harbor parking lot. People are coming in from all over Michigan. Two nice folks from Mt. Pleasant (about 140 miles away!) And this lovely customer Elizabeth, from the Detroit area also didn’t want to miss out in the action. Despite the grey grey weather and grey Lake Michigan, lots of local food, wine and music were enjoyed.

apologies, eventually we will figure out how to make the text in this picture legible. but for now, the little blurbs that you cant read say (from left to right)
- which way to tack & jibe?
- cheers!
- OMG it is so cold I can see my breath. Really!

BARBERCRUISE HOOTENANNY!

bar•be•cue |ˈbärbiˌkyoō|noun
a meal or gathering at which meat, fish, or other food is cooked out of doors on a rack over an open fire or on a portable grill.

hoo•te•nanny |ˈhoōtnˌanē|noun ( pl. -nies)
an informal gathering with folk music and sometimes dancing.

BAR•BER•CRUISE |barber-cruz|
Holy leland yacht club! way better than a picnic, like a hootenanny, with a nautical theme (and no child labor laws) An all day event, starting with the parade of decorated boats around nedow’s bay, an afternoon of delectable food with a hundred or so of your closest friends, accompanied by award ceremonies, the sweet songs of yesteryear, storytelling and dancing under the stars. (not with) Oh and some of the best pant patterns you have ever seen. The MC of the evening won the gold medal for that category, I apologize I have no picture to share – I did manage to snap the runner up while in the chow line. Long live Leland Yacht Club!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA!

Tack & Jibe was away for a few hours to watch the parade! Small-town Americana! Peter’s family has been watching the parade for years and years at their good friends the Hawkin’s house with Bloody Mary’s in hand! It is always a blast and we wouldn’t of missed it for the world!

And we were thrilled to see our building right in the parade!! Thanks to our friends and landlords at Fishtown Preservation Society! They are hoping to raise money for our shanty so throw them some cash cause trust us, the 100 year old plus building needs it!
