SWEET PEAS, GOLDEN ROD & LABOR DAY HOURS
Well howdy! So we’re married now and its pure blissss. Apologies if you happened to try to swing by our shop or email us (we are trying to get to the emails in a timely manner! thank you for your patience!) We are slowly getting back to the swing of things in Tack & Jibe land after a very very busy & fun week with friends and fam in town. We do have plans for a honeymoon, a sailing adventure in fact, but only after the winds pipe down a bit. (30mph winds, rain + sailing, um, no thank you!)
Until then, you can see our smiling faces in the shop on WEEKENDS 10 – 6. Until October-ish. 6:00 pm is an approximate closing time, so give us a ring if your on your way 231-256-2070 and we will be sure to stick around just for you! Hope you are all having a great end of summer/early fall! Is it fall? Really?

Holy leland yacht club! way better than a picnic, like a hootenanny, with a nautical theme (and no child labor laws) An all day event, starting with the parade of decorated boats around nedow’s bay, an afternoon of delectable food with a hundred or so of your closest friends, accompanied by award ceremonies, the sweet songs of yesteryear, storytelling and dancing under the stars. (not with) Oh and some of the best pant patterns you have ever seen. The MC of the evening won the gold medal for that category, I apologize I have no picture to share – I did manage to snap the runner up while in the chow line. Long live Leland Yacht Club!

OUR NEW DECKHAND!
Watch out world, Tack & Jibe is bigtime – we now have an employee!!! Her name is Caroline, she is a Jersey girl and we are thrilled to have her help out in the shop for the summer, she is very clever and a lot of fun. Come by some time and say hello! (or check out her shoes, this girls got some killer kicks)
& hopefully we’ll get her to take the reigns of the blog – to add fresh ideas. look out!

MAGNET MANIA
Woo Hoo!! Our cute magnets have just arrived!! Thanks a million again to our pals andy & nancy at circa ceramics for doing such a great job (again real people, real things being handmade!) they look fantastic! we love the super magnet strength they have as well. pretty AND functional. we should have listened to them earlier when they said magnets are popular. we love em!

FRESH FISH
these cutting boards/cheeseboards/decorative fishes/whatever you want to use them as – have been quite popular we had to place another order! when they arrive we put on a fresh coat of board butter on them to make them all nice and ready for your home! these are friendly fish mind you and would love to be a guest at your next cocktail party on your boat or in your cottage! they are all made from reclaimed wood from old barns, and like all of our products are made by a real person, our friend Aaron at greensawn in chicago.
